Fellow 6th District Members,

It my honor and pleasure to congratulate Mr. Tom Fetzer on his election as the new NCGOP Chairman. I know Tom will do a great job in helping the NCGOP not only grow, but prosper. I know it was a contested race for chairman, but now is the time to come together as Republicans and help Chairman Fetzer achieve the positive vision he has for our party. Partisan interparty politics need to be put aside. We are Republicans and will unite to face the future with a new renewed optimism as always we should.

I know the 6th District Executive Board members like myself will work hard to support Tom, because his success is our success.

DISTRICT CONVENTION

The Sixth District Convention was held on Thursday, April 23rd in Asheboro. Moore County had 44 delegates present.

Joan Thurman was elected Vice Chair of the District, and Gina Brown, Linda Parke and Bev Shebs were elected Delegates At Large.

The Moore County RED, WHITE AND BLUE REPUBLICAN GALA was held on Saturday, April 26th. It was a well-attended dinner, highlighted by appearances by U.S. Representatives John Boehner (Republican Leader of the House of Representatives) and Howard Coble.

Moore County Republican Men's Club meets the 2nd Thursday of every month (except July and August). Meetings are held at the Country Club Of North Carolina (CCNC). Registration begins at 11:30 AM. Lunch begins at noon. The price is $15.00 (note change), cash or checks made out to "MCRMC". Reservations and cancellations should be made before the preceding Tuesday.
